Before the “SQL Server error 945” may put your database at high risk, you must troubleshoot it as soon as possible. Below I’m showing you the most possible solutions to troubleshoot the SQL Server error, “database cannot be opened due to inaccessible files or insufficient memory or disk space”:
Fix #1: If possible you should add more free space on the hard disk drive.
Fix #2: Check if the database is set to Autogrowth.
Go to the Growth and Autogrowth Settings and check if the “Enable Autogrowth” is checked. Make sure you shouldn’t enable the Autogrowth option.
Fix #3: Check if your account has enough permission to perform any operation. If you don’t have the permission, you should contact your system administrator (SA).
Fix #4: Make sure the primary and secondary databases, i.e. MDF and LDF files, aren’t marked as read-only.
